Every time I watch a talent competition, how I wish I was talented like the contestants. How I wish I had a singing voice, how I wish I could dance ever so gracefully across the floor.
I love dance but I have two uncoordinated feet. Would you believe it that I enrolled for ballet at the age of 27? Hilarious.
That was adult ballet, which is meant for people who actually possess the talent for dance, not bored housewives or burnt out accountants.
When the music comes on, I don't know left from right or up from down. I was a mess. So I gave up (much to the relief of my teacher).
A while back I watched reruns of America's Got Talent 2016. It's entertaining, it's fun. And I fell in love with an act called Malevo. No, no, don't get me wrong. I am not crazy over those hot Argentinian men, I am crazy over their talent.
If you have not heard of them and you love dance, you must watch this.
They didn't win or make it to the finals, which was so disappointing. That's a gripe I have when watching these talent shows, when the truly talented do not get the votes. Fate? Perhaps. One more thing before I go. There are artistes who are phenomenal but do not get the accolade they deserve. Maybe what's phenomenal to me is just regular to others. I wonder if this this guy is as famous as he should be.
He is nothing to look at but whoa! Wait till you hear him sing.
