Languid; apt to be languid; showing the effects of languor. Limp.I'm rockin' some big time lassitudenous-ness. Fer realies. Given this, I am obscenely happy that it’s Friday. And, I know – DUH, who the fuck isn’t?!
In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire's ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.I know I'm not the only one seeing this as an allegory, an inspiring call to action. The Empire is the Republican party. The Death Star is Trump himself? Yeah, too real, too heavy. Also, I'm fresh outta wookies.
The next installment in the blockbuster franchise, UNDERWORLD: BLOOD WARS follows Vampire death dealer, Selene (Kate Beckinsale) as she fends off brutal attacks from both the Lycan clan and the Vampire faction that betrayed her. With her only allies, David (Theo James) and his father Thomas (Charles Dance), she must stop the eternal war between Lycans and Vampires, even if it means she has to make the ultimate sacrifice. This is the fifth in the series – a "franchise" of flicks I’d never heard of. I’m not terribly up on all things young, sexy and vampire-y though. Also too, the descriptor franchise kind of puts me off. Do I get a bucket of greasy fried chicken or a happy meal when I pay the entry fee?
When mysterious spacecraft touch down across the globe, an elite team—led by expert linguist Louise Banks (Amy Adams)—is brought together to investigate. As mankind teeters on the verge of global war, Banks and the team race against time for answers—and to find them, she will take a chance that could threaten her life, and quite possibly humanity. The snow might keep me inside or, at the least, taking the T versus Bix. If that’s the case, I’ll hit the Y and then come home to watch some faves, like Blade Runner! Possibly I’ll binge watch Star Trek and Star Wars. BOTH!
